By creating a Snapproof account, downloading the app, or otherwise using the service, you agree to these Terms of Service ("Terms") and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
These Terms form a legally binding agreement between you and the operators of Snapproof ("we", "us"). Contact: hello@snapprooftool.com.
Snapproof is a mobile application that helps individuals and small businesses photograph their tools, extract product details from those photos, and generate documentation suitable for use in warranty and insurance claims.
Snapproof is not:
PDFs you generate with Snapproof are records of information you supplied (or that an AI model extracted from your photos and you confirmed). Insurance carriers and manufacturers may require additional documentation, including original receipts, manufacturer registration, or proof of ownership beyond what Snapproof produces.
You must be at least 18 years old and capable of forming a binding contract to use Snapproof. By signing up you represent that you meet this requirement.
The free tier includes up to 5 documented tools at no cost, subject to a fair-use cap of 300 AI captures per calendar month. We may adjust these limits with reasonable advance notice.
Snapproof Pro removes the 5-tool cap and unlocks branded PDF exports, business-logo upload, and other Pro features that may be added over time.

Subscription disclosures (Apple App Store and Google Play required):
Lifetime plans are sold only through our website at snapprooftool.com and do not auto-renew. They include all current and future Pro features for the lifetime of the Snapproof service.
We may offer free trials or introductory pricing through Apple or Google. Trial terms are presented at the point of subscription. If you do not cancel before the trial ends, you will be charged the standard subscription price.
We may change subscription prices with at least 30 days' notice. New prices apply at your next renewal. If you do not agree, cancel before that renewal.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate this section.
You own the photos and tool data you create in Snapproof. We claim no ownership over your content.
You grant us a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, process, transmit, and display your content only as necessary to provide the service to you (storing it in our database, generating PDFs, routing photos to AI providers for extraction). This license ends when you delete the content or close your account.
We do not use your photos or tool data for AI training, advertising, or any purpose unrelated to operating the service.
Snapproof routes your photos through commercial AI vision provider partners to extract structured data. AI extractions are best-effort and you must verify them before relying on them.
For tools photographed without a receipt, the AI may estimate a purchase price based on the brand and model. Estimated prices are approximations of typical retail value, not appraisals. You should verify against your own records or replacement-cost data before submitting to an insurance carrier.
We aim to keep Snapproof running but make no guarantee of uninterrupted availability. We may take the service offline for maintenance, security, or other operational reasons. We are not liable for losses caused by service downtime.
You may stop using Snapproof at any time. Account deletion is available in Settings → Delete My Account.
We may suspend or terminate your account if:
On termination, your account and tool data are deleted within 30 days, except where we are legally required to retain records (such as billing receipts).
SNAPPROOF IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and accuracy. We do not warrant that:
You are solely responsible for verifying information before relying on it for warranty claims, insurance claims, tax records, or any other purpose.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability to you for any claim arising out of or relating to the service shall not exceed the greater of (a) the fees you paid us in the twelve months immediately preceding the event giving rise to the claim, or (b) one hundred US dollars ($100).
We are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost data, lost claim payouts, or business interruption, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.
Some jurisdictions do not allow these limitations; in those jurisdictions our liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted by law.
You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from any claim, demand, loss, or damages, including reasonable attorneys' fees, arising out of (a) your use of the service, (b) content you submit to the service, (c) your violation of these Terms, or (d) your violation of any law or third-party right.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the state in which our principal place of business is located, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in that state, and you consent to the jurisdiction of those courts.
If you are a consumer in the European Union or United Kingdom, mandatory consumer-protection laws of your country of residence will apply where they grant you rights you cannot waive.
If you obtained Snapproof from the Apple App Store, the following additional terms apply between you and Apple, Inc.:
If you obtained Snapproof from Google Play, your use is also subject to the Google Play Terms of Service. Subscription billing through Google Play is governed by Google's Payment Terms.
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be notified through the app and by email at least 30 days before they take effect. Continued use after the effective date means you accept the new Terms.
